The Japan Football Association announced that KOHROGI Shinzoh (Urawa Reds) has been named as Japan's third over-age player for the men's football competition of the 31st Olympic Football Tournament Rio 2016 starting on Thursday 4 August.

He is capable of initiating his team's attack and getting through to space behind defenders as well as coping with various types of opponents’ game plan including sitting back deep and executing counterattacks. He is a player who can certainly add attacking options to the team in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. His resiliency will be effective against physically-gifted players. Since becoming a professional footballer, he has devoted his service to Kashima Antlers and Urawa Reds. We all hope he will shine for Japan this time.
