Coach’s Comment

ARIMA Kenji
Finally, we are seeing the commencement of the qualifiers for the AFC U-16 Championship. This is will be the first time of our players to represent Japan and compete in the international competition for a place in the World Cup. Of course, our main goal is to get through the group stages, but, at the same time, we will take the initiative and look for chances to steal the ball and score goals. While we were making 4 tours abroad to strengthen the team from this March, we were constantly thinking about the world standard that is required to compete effectively against the world. We were making progress in every one of these tours to meet this level of play. Lastly, our players and staff will make the best possible preparations in order to display all of our strengths in the coming three matches of the qualifiers.
