Players’ Comments

DOAN Ritsu (Gamba Osaka Youth)
We played a practice match against Nippon Sport Science University in the final day of our training camp today. As a team, we got the ball with our organised defence and created a lot of scoring opportunities with our fast attacks. But offensively, our buildups weren't so good. Individually, I think that I made some good moved to jump out of my defensive midfielder position. Both as a team and as an individual, we have so many issues to work on, but we would certainly like to share good images with the team.

MASUYAMA Asahi (Vissel Kobe)
We played a training match with Nippon Sport Science University on the final day of our training camp. We were told about our defence and we entered the game with that in mind. I think that we have many occasions we got the ball in the way we wanted to. And even after we'd get the ball, we had a higher awareness of pushing the ball forward, but I thought that we would have even more chances to score if our players had played facing forward up front. Personally, it was great that I scored a goal. Though we only had three days, we ended up spending valuable times.

TAKAGI Akito (Gamba Osaka Youth)
We only had three days for this training camp, but everybody tried to communicate with each other and worked hard from our practices in order to achieve the offensive football that coach Uchiyama is looking to play. In today's game, we had so many occasions that we got the ball with our pressure up front, and created so many scoring chances from those. Yet I thought that we, including myself, would still need to raise the qualities of our last passes and shots. We will have another national team activity next month, so I will do my best on a daily basis to be chosen again.

ABE Koto (Albirex Niigata U-18)
We played a training match with Nippon Sport Science University in the final day of our training camp. I entered it trying to capitalize on what I've learned in the last two days. We ended up winning, but we found so many issues both as a team and as an individual. I was able to play, being aware of trying to get the ball intentionally during the game. But I tried providing effective passes right after I got the ball. For the team's activity in May, I would like to do my best, correcting my issues and growing even more, so I will be selected again.
