On Sunday, 3 December, JFA hosted “Embassies in Japan Friendly Football 2023,” a football event for International Communities in Japan, at the Prince Takamado Memorial JFA YUME Field.

Opening speeches were delivered by TASHIMA Kohzo, President of JFA, and Mr. FUKAZAWA Yoichi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs. In his speech, President TASHIMA emphasised the importance of one of JFA's visions, “Fostering friendships among the people in Japan and beyond, to contribute to the betterment of the international community,” and said: “Through this event, we hope to bring the football family together so that everyone can enjoy the game regardless of their nationality.” The event brought together 85 players from six teams – the Australian Embassy Tokyo, the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, the Embassy of Brazil in Tokyo, the Embassy of Spain in Tokyo, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and JFA.
