Coach's Comment

MITA Michiteru, Technical Director/National Team Coach of the Northern Mariana Islands
Taking over the role from SEKIGUCHI Kiyoshi, I have started to work for the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association (NMIFA) as Coach of National Team and Technical Director. The Northern Mariana Islands consist of 14 islands, including Saipan, with beautiful beaches and sea. Despite being a small land with a population of 50,000 people, football is becoming increasingly popular every year. We have grass-roots teams from the U-6 level and youth leagues. Both the men’s and the women’s national teams as well as their youth teams have participated in the international competitions of AFC. I will give my best efforts and work together with NMIFA President Tan and the staff members in order to accelerate this development, and will also aim to go a step further for fostering a wonderful football culture in the Northern Mariana Islands.
