Japan Football Association (JFA) signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol (APF) on 13 May 2025. JFA and APF have cooperated at various levels since the MoU was first signed on 5 September 2019 and hope to further expand their partnership going forward.

The signing ceremony took place at APF Headquarters in Asunción Paraguay and went in an amicable manner. Both parties discussed how various exchanges can be conducted through the renewal of the partnership this time and expressed high expectations for future initiatives.

The MoU ceremony was conducted in the presence of:

・Mr. Robert HARRISON, President, APF
・Mr. Luis KANONNIKOFF, General Secretary, APF
・Mr. MIYAMOTO Tsuneyasu, President, JFA
・Mr. YUKAWA Kazuyuki, General Secretary, JFA

The MoU between APF and JFA aims to facilitate cooperation in the following areas:

・Friendly matches and various exchange programmes for National Teams of each age category
・Friendly matches and various exchange programmes for National Teams of Futsal, Beach Soccer, and Women’s football
・Referee exchange programmes
・Knowledge-sharing between administrative and management staff
