28 April 2023
Following the dispatch from Japan to England, three referees and one referee coach from PGMOL(Professional Game Match Officials Limited) in England came to Japan for exchanges. Through J.League and WE League matches, the referees enjoyed the new experience of officiating abroad. They also joined training camp with Japanese professional referees and shared their views and consideration points through various discussions. During this very first visit to Japan, they watched an international friendly match at National Stadium, paid courtesy visits to the J League and WE League, as well as traveling by train to various parts of Japan, and cherry blossom viewing.
At the same time, the Japanese referees who teamed up with the PGMOL referees had received many inspirations from these exchanges.
Appointments
The purpose of the exchange program is to mutually provide refereeing experience and training opportunities in different cultures and match environments, with the aim of improving refereeing in the future and promoting friendly relations between the two countries.
