Ex-Olympians send message to U-23 Japan players

U-23 Japan National Team will try to earn a ticket for this summer's Rio de Janeiro Olympics through the AFC U-23 Championship Qatar 2016, which kicks off on 13 January in Qatar. For those players, who will look to give the team the sixth straight berth in the Olympics, some of the Samurai Blue players who had had experienced play in the Olympics, gave some message.

In the message footage, the national team players told the U-23 players what they earned through the Olympics qualifying and Olympics and what they were able to take advantage of based on those, as well as what they would need to do in a short championship.

U-23 Japan National Team, who are currently tuning up for the tournament in Qatar, watched the footage during their meeting. The players' eyes were glued to the TV screen and they raised their spirits.

- Competed in the Beijing Olympics in 2008
HONDA Keisuke, OKAZAKI Shinji, NAGATOMO Yuto, YOSHIDA Maya, KAGAWA Shinji 
- Competed in the London Olympics in 2012
