With regards to the announcement made by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter yesterday, we at Japan Football Association would like to make the following statement
03 June 2015
We are surprised at his sudden announcement to step down from his position as the FIFA President because he has been re-elected just recently, four days ago.
We accept, with our sincerity, his decision and will continuously work hard together with the member associations in order to implement reform, normalisation and reorganisation of FIFA by maintaining integrity and transparency respectfully for the good of football.
