Match Report

Training match against Shonan Bellbare on the last training day of the camp.
As U-19 squad couldn’t keep up with Shonan Bellmare’s quick pressing on the front line, U-19 squad had hard time moving the ball at their rhythm. Some goal chances were almost given to the other side for them to shoot, after the ball was taken from making mistake and losing the ball.
But U-19 squad gradually restored stability after 30th minute and their defense gets solid, they could pass the ball after capturing the ball. U-19 squad broke the opposite side’s formation and built up the offence and finished with a shoot. Eventually, the first half ended scoreless.
U-19 Japan National Team sent in many substitution players in the second half aiming for scoring goal. But they gave a goal chance to other side and lost the goal right after the second half started; PK was given to the other side and scored to 0-2. On the brink of losing, U-19 Mochizuki started to play as a starting point and gave pass for goal scoring chances where FW players only to shoot. The game was over as it is. They couldn’t finish the last day with victory. It was a good training match in gearing up for the AFC U-19 Championship.

Comments

SUZUKI Masakazu Head Coach
Although the players were exhausted for the last training day, I believe we could play the football the style we are aiming for to some extent. But we still have the issue of losing goal easily. In upcoming championship in October, I want the players will be much concentrated in the game because the victory will slip away once we make a mistake and lose goal, no matter how well we played in the game. I hope the player just keep good images of today’s game and come back to the next national team camp.

UCHIYAMA Yuki (Consadole Sapporo)
We lost today’s game 0-2 but it was productive game for us. I think we could demonstrate the football the way we wanted to play. But it is important to transfer the team to winning squad, not just sticking to our style. We gave up goals in three out of four matches. As I’m a defense player, I am going to make it my priority to give up no goal.

YAMAGUCHI Shinji (Vissel Kobe U-18)
On this trip, we came to realize we have something to overcome; physical strength for keep running in hot weather preparing for the final round of AFC Championship, the skill for adapting to any kind of pitch condition. Not many days left till the next national team camp. When I go back to my team, I will develop myself in some way and overcome the issues, I am going to practice for playing better if I called up to next national team camp.

MOROOKA Yusuke (Fukuoka University)
As today’s game was the last game in the trip, I wish I could finish the trip in good way but it was disappointing to lose the game. As I was called up additionally to the trip, I was disappointed to make no goal in four games. I realized there were various things I need to overcome; the timing and quality of start moving and technical aspect of the play. Facing with the points to overcome, I will come back to the national team for develop myself again and do my best.

TAGUCHI Junto (Yokohama F. Marinos Youth)
I was very sorry to lose the last game but there were some scenes where I could demonstrate what we’ve been accumulating from UAE trip, as a team and as a player. Keeping a good image, I will review this trip and camp, and work on hard when I go back to my team for develop myself.
