Tournament Format

20 of the participating teams will be divided into two divisions (EAST/WEST) consisting 10 teams each. Teams will play in a double round-robin format where home and away matches are assigned against every teams. (total of 18 matches per team) Each of the division winners will earn a spot into the Final. The bottom 2 teams of each divisions will automatically be relegated to the Prince League in the following year. Top 16 teams of the Price League (qualification slots for each region listed below) will earn a spot into the Premier League qualifiers, where the top 4 teams of the qualifiers will be promoted into the Premier League in the following year.
Hokkaido/Hokushinetsu/Shikoku: 1, Tohoku/Tokai/Kansai/Chugoku/Kyushu: 2, Kanto: 3
