JFA signs on partnership with Thailand

Japan Football Association (JFA) signed on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Football Association of Thailand (FAT), on 28 March in Tokyo prior to the FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifier match between the two national teams. This agreement in between the football governing bodies will deepen the mutual relationship and continuous cooperation for a further development of football in both Thailand and Japan.

JFA President TASHIMA Kohzo expressed his appreciation to FAT President, Pol. Gen. Somyot POOMPANMOUNG, of such an important occasion. “Thailand and Japan has a long history of friendship over decades. In recent years, our exchange has been more active at all level including our professional leagues. I believe that this partnership can help each other to advance to a higher level not only in technical but also in administrative aspects. It also gives us extra pleasure to deepen the ties of friendship between the two football families and accelerate our development.”

The MoU between FAT and JFA agrees on the cooperation with each other in the following areas:

1.League Operations
2.National Teams
3.Exchange of expertise (coach education, youth development, grassroots, competition management, marketing, administration and organization structure, operation of football facilities, club management)
4.Referees development

Until today JFA has signed MoU with the following football associations.

[Asean] Singapore, Vietnam
[South] India
[Central] Iran
[West] Jordan, United Arab Emirates

Europe
Denmark, England, France, Germany and Spain
