Comment of Head Coach OIWA Go

For this tour, we’ve called up a diverse group of players, including university and high school students, many of whom have the potential to break into this team. With the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers taking place in September, our goal is to not only strengthen the squad's overall quality and depth, but also to take on new challenges with an eye towards the FIFA U-20 World Cup™. Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan are both among the top sides in Asia. Through these two matches, we are determined to focus on both results and performance, and to lay the foundations for the future.
