Coach and Players' Comments

UCHIYAMA Atsushi, Coach
The players had a short time to play as a squad, but I appreciate them doing their best to understand this team’s strategy and transform it into their play today. The squad players have to get ready in such a limited time so I told them to keep a high motivation and concentration all of the time. We have the AFC U-19 Championship in October, so we will keep working well towards this championship.

KAMIYA Yuta (Shonan Bellmare)
I was selected to join this camp as a short-listed player for the first time in 3 years, and I was very happy to put on the training shirt of the squad after a long time. This was only a short camp but I have had a good experience. While I was playing, I kept thinking about how I can show my advantages in this high level team, and how I can find out my teammates’ advantages sooner and maximise them. It was good that I could find what I should do to improve my fitness by taking a physical test. I will keep training to improve what I need to do in my team and I hope that I can come back to this squad again. I will keep working hard to be selected as a squad player for the AFC U-19 Championship in October.

OGAWA Koki (Jubilo Iwata)
Today we had a practice match against All-Japan University Selection. They had a long time to possess the ball, but it was good that we could score despite only having a few chances. However, there were more chances that we could have scored, so I feel that I have to be a player who can score multiple goals. I will do my best to make a good team by having more communication with my teammates on and off the pitch.

ITO Ryotaro (Urawa Reds)
We played against the All-Japan University Selection today and it was intense and challenging match for us. I felt that we have to be much stronger to compete with foreign teams. I think we can make good offence if we can communicate more amongst ourselves, so I will promote communication more with my teammates.

TSUJI Syugo (Sagan Tosu)
This is my first time to join in the squad camp, and I could learn good things from various players. I could also find my disadvantages in these 3 days. In my team, I will improving myself, showing off my hunger to be the better player.
