It has been determined that the U-21 Japan National Team, who will be touring Europe in September, will play an international friendly match against the U-21 Italy National Team at Castel di Sangro, Italy on Monday 26 September.

We are delighted to be given the opportunity to play against such a strong team as Italy, who like Switzerland, have also qualified for next year's UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals, and are strengthening their squad in preparation for the Paris Olympics. If we qualify for the Paris Olympics, we could be facing these two teams at the tournament. We will try to make the most of this valuable opportunity to travel and train in Europe, while also strive for victory in each of the matches we play in our tour.
