47 clubs from J.League Division 1, 2 and 3 (Grulla Morioka, Fukushima United, Fujieda MYFC, FC Ryukyu do not participate) and four clubs representing regions of Japan Club Youth Football Federation (JCY)

Eligibility

- Players who are registered for the Japan Football Association as Class 2 and completed the event registration
- Players who belong to a Class 3 team of a J.League club and are approved by the J.League Football Administrative General Manager.

Match regulations are in accordance with the 2014 J-Youth Cup 22th J.League Youth Championship Regulations.

Tournament System (Qualifying Round)

Tournament System: Four teams play on round-robin contests (11 groups)

Schedule: Saturday 4 October – Sunday 26 October 2014

Match Length: 90 minutes (45-minute halves) (Matches can end as draw.)

Standings
i) Standings in the Qualifying Round will be determined at the end of the group league matches by points earned (three points for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss.) If multiple teams are even on points, the following criteria will be applied to determine the standings :
1) Goal difference, 2) Total goals scored, 3) Match result between the teams in question (a. Points, b. Goal difference, c. Total goals scored) and 4) A drawing of lots.
ii) The total points earned is applied to determine the standings among the top teams in each group and among the second-placed teams in each group,
If multiple teams are even on points, the following criteria will be applied to determine the standings :
1) Goal difference, 2) Total goals scored and 3) A drawing of lots.

1) 16 clubs: 11 top clubs in each group and top five second-placed clubs.
2) Four clubs representing regions of the Japan Club Youth Football Federation (JCY)

Tournament System: Knockout system with one match per round

Schedule
First Round: Saturday 1 November at Ajinomoto Stadium West Stadium
      Monday 3 November at Yanmar Stadium Nagai
Second Round: Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 November at each club’s home stadium etc.
Quarter-finals: Sunday 16 November at Ajinomoto Stadium East Stadium /
       Wave Stadium Kariya.
Semi-finals: Saturday 20 December at Yanmar Stadium Nagai
Final: Tuesday 23 December at Yanmar Stadium Nagai

Match Length: First Round to Final
       90 minutes (45-minute halves)
       20 minutes extra time if necessary (10-minute halves)
       Penalty shootout if necessary
