Objective
The Japan Football Association and the Japan Club Youth Football Federation hold this tournament for all Class 2 youth teams to improve football skill and physical and mental health of young players who forge the future of Japanese football and encourage the development of club teams.

Awards
The champions team will be awarded championship trophies (Japan Football Association Cup, Japan Club Youth Football Federation Cup and adidas Cup) and retain them until the next championship is held.
The champions, runners-up and third-placed teams will be awarded certificates and medals.
Top Scorer
The player with the most goals scored in the tournament will be recognised.
Fair Play Award
For encouragement and development of fair play spirit, the Fair Play Award, will be awarded to the selected team in accordance with the JFA’s selection standard. The Fair Play Award, consisting of a trophy and a supplementary prize, will be given to the team selected from the final-four teams in the tournament.
