Eligibility

1) A team shall be registered for the Japan Football Association (Class 1) and the Japan National College of Technology Football Association and its player shall be individually registered for those associations.
2) The number of players of foreign nationality and transfer players who are allowed to play is limited to six. Only three out of the six are allowed to play in a match at a time.

The following 16 teams from each region will be selected.

Hokkaido: 1, Tohoku:1, Hokushinetsu: 2,
Kanto: 2, Tokai: 1, Kansai: 2,
Chugoku: 2, Shikoku: 2, Kyushu & Okinawa:2,
Host School: 1

Awards

1) The champions, runners-up and third-placed teams will be awarded a certificate.
2) The champions will be awarded the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Trophy and Japan Football Association Trophy and retain it until the next championship is held.
3) The players on the champions, runners-up and two third-placed teams will be awarded medals.
4) The best player(s) of the tournament will be awarded a prize.
5) The Fair Play Award will be awarded in accordance with the tournament regulation.
