Eligibility

Teams shall be registered for the Japan Football Association and the Japan Football Federation for Members of Society as Class 1 (including associate members) and shall meet the following provisions.
1) Teams belonging to the J.League Division 1, 2 and 3, the JFL, the Japan University Football Association, the Japan National College of Technology Football Association, and the Japan Professional School Football Association are not allowed to participate in the tournament.
2) The number of players of foreign nationality is limited to three per team (except associate members.) (They are allowed to play in the same match at the same time.)
3) Players shall be approved their registration by the Japan Football Association by Friday 22 August 2014, the deadline of this tournament’s online entry.
4) Any question arising out of player eligibility shall be consulted by the local adults football federation. The Japan Football Federation for Members of Society will assess the matter accordingly.
5) If a team belongs to the “Club” approved for “Club Registration” by the JFA, a player who belongs to another team in the same “Club” will be allowed to participate in the tournament without transfer procedure. In this case, a player can play on multiple teams, if the teams are within the same “club”. However, this rule applies only to players of Class 2 generation and the team can bring and list players from other Class 2 registered team within the same “club”. The rule does not apply to players of Class 1 and Seniors.
6) Players can no longer play in the tournament if they transfer to another team during the period of qualifiers and the tournament.

1) The tournament is held with 32 teams selected by the following methods.

a) One team each from the nine regional adults football federations
b) 22 teams allocated based on the number of the JFFMS registered teams in the previous year (2013)
c) One team from the host prefecture

g) Chugoku Adults Football Federation: 3
h) Shikoku Adults Football Federation: 2

j) Host Prefecture’s Adults Football Federation (Wakayama): 1

3) Selection Methods

Each adults football federation will select representative teams according to the following methods.

a) Regional adults football federations shall hold regional qualifiers and determine their representative teams according to the standings results.
b) Regional adults football federations and the host adults football federation shall determine their representative teams by Thursday 21 August 2014.

Tournament System

The 32 teams will play on the knockout system and determine champions, runners-up, third-placed team and fourth-placed team. The third-place match will be held to determine third place and fourth place.

Awards

The champions, runners-up and third-placed team will be awarded a certificate, trophy and medals. The champions will be awarded the Champions Flag and Japan Football Federation for Members of Society Trophy and retain them until the next tournament is held.
