U-17 Japan National Team Belarus Tour 2015 activity report (1/17)

18 January 2015

U-17 Japan National Team Belarus Tour 2015 activity report (1/17)

The team, on the eve of an opening game for the tournament, spared the time of training to confirm its offence in the morning and set pieces as well as its defence against crossing by the opponent in the afternoon.

The morning session mainly focused on plays to cut into the opponent's defensive line just in front of the goal and then a head coach Moriyama instructed players to head toward a goal proactively. The team concluded today's training with an exercise in the form of a game on the 60 meters long pitch.

The team took the afternoon session out of doors for the first time in this tour. Players did exercises energetically, cheering up orally in penetrating chilled wind. The training of CK and FK was made in a tense mood of a real game and players competed physically with each other.
Young Japan National Team will soon kick off an opening game tomorrow.

Comments

SAITO Toshihide Coach
It is very honor for me to wear a shirt with the emblem of a national team for the first time in 15 years and I fell tense on this occasion. I believe it will be a great experience for not only me but also for players to play football in Belarus whose culture is different from Japan during this tour. Getting closer to an opening game, the team's atmosphere is coming to be strong. We are strongly determined to have matches with great efforts and a pride to play soccer as Japan National Team.

DF TOMIYASU Takehiro (Avispa Fukuoka U-18)
We could well prepare for an opening match after confirming set plays and so on. I will try to be fully ready to do my 100 percent performance from the kick off the game tomorrow. My personal goal is to keep my focus to play for 80mins, not allowing the opponent to score.

DF TANAKA Kosuke (Kyoto Sanga F.C. U-18)
We are getting used to play in Belarus, the unique country which has a mood I have never experienced before and our condition is being improved. An opening game, like other tournaments, is so important that we should maintain our focus to enter into the game smoothly. I hope to play with great efforts as a whole team in order to have a good result in this tournament.
