U-18 Japan National Team’s Activity Report on Expedition to Slovakia (4/30)

U-18 Japan National Team’s Activity Report on Expedition to Slovakia (4/30)

Japan hasn’t won after two matches in Group League, but the team members rebooted their mind and started getting themselves into good condition to prepare for the third match. After the second match, they went to a heated pool and got refreshed.
In the morning on 30th, they took their condition into account and didn’t go to a training place. Instead, they took a walk and did stretching around the hotel so that they could play the second match in good condition.

In the afternoon, they went sightseeing in the city. They were exposed to European culture by visiting old castles and walking around a city in Slovakia.

The opposing team for tomorrow’s third match in Group League is Belgium. There is still a possibility to advance to the next match, so it will be a match Japan doesn’t want to lose.

Comments from Players

SUGIMORI Koki (Nagoya Grampus)
We didn’t have a match today, so we were able to go for a one-hour walk in the morning and see European castles, old buildings in Slovakia, and the streetscape in the afternoon. Also, I was able to take a good rest, so I will do my best to win two matches and get many scores as a team.

OSHIMA Koki (Kashiwa Reysol U-18)
Today was a middle day of matches, so we had light training. We will have the third match in Preliminary League tomorrow. Both our team and I are not satisfied with our play in the first two matches, so I would like to focus on how to play and the results. I will focus also on getting scores as I play offence.
