Japan Futsal National squad play practice game at training camp to finish 2016

The Japan Futsal National Team short-listed squad held the last practice session of this year at the training camp in the morning on Wednesday 21 December.

During the two-hour session, the players stayed focused in response to coach Bruno GARCIA’s requests, using the team’s concept and tactics, which they had been learning. The whole team put into practice what they had shared in the meeting prior to the session, including defending when at a numerical disadvantage. Then they finished the training camp with a practice game.

Coach Bruno told the players to wrap up this year: ‘this training camp has been productive, as you performed as I expected. I take pleasure in coaching you. I hope you all feel the same and enjoy playing.’

Players' Comments

SHIMIZU Kazuya (FUGADOR SUMIDA)
We finished the last session of this year. We have started to be able to perform on the pitch as the coach required, which made me believe we’ve been improving. Personally, there is still plenty of room to improve. So I’d like to understand the team’s concept well, so that I can raise the level of my performance even more.

MUROTA Yuki (PESCADOLA MACHIDA)
We finished our last training camp of the year. We held a very productive three-day camp again, learning new tactics and set pieces. I’d like to keep up with this level back in my club and improve myself more, so that I can come back to this team.

HASHIMOTO Masaya (NAGOYA OCEANS)
I joined the national team’s training camp for the first time and had a very productive three days. I understood much – not perfectly, though – about the concept that the coach requested. I’d like to continue to practice hard back in my club, so that I’ll be back here for another camp.
