Japan Football Association (JFA) has signed a partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fooball Union of Russia (FUR) today, 15 June in Moscow.

The MoU further focuses on knowledge sharing on youth development and coaching education programmes in order to cooperate together for a further development of football in both Russia and Japan.

Having visited FUR Acting President, Mr. Aleksandr ALAEV at the headquarters of FUR, JFA President TASHIMA Kohzo firstly congratulated the superb start of the FIFA World Cup and wished the great success of the competition. “On this very special year, it is a great honour for me to sign this partnership agreement with Football Union of Russia, one of the leading football nations in the world. We have been fostering our friendship through many sporting and cultural exchanges in both countries, and furthermore, this is a wonderful opportunity to start creating new legacy of exchanges. Especially we are willing to focus on the exchanges in tournaments, matches for the youth age. I sincerely hope that this partnership will further benefit to the development of our game in both countries.”

The MoU between FUR and JFA aims to cooperate with each other in the areas as follows:
