U-22 Jamaica National Team arrive in Japan ahead of the KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2019

Three days ahead of their KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2019 match against the U-22 Japan National Team, the U-22 Jamaica National Team arrived in Japan on Wednesday 25 December.

Following a long flight, the players seemed tired at the airport, and spent their time to relax their bodies once arriving at their hotel.

The KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2019 match between the U-22 Japan National Team and the U-22 Jamaica National Team will kick off at 19:20 on Saturday 28 December at Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki.

Coach and Player's Comments

Theodore WHITMORE, Coach
I am glad to visit Japan. We arrived at night, so I wasn’t able to take a look at the sceneries outside, but I have the impression that Japan is a beautiful country and the people are very kind, so I am looking forward for our stay here. The Japanese team is capable of possessing the ball through their pass works, and they are a very organised team. They have great speed and quickness, so we hope to make our adjustments against them on the pitch.

Peter VASSELL
Japan has many players with great speed and quickness, but our strong point lies on our speed as well, so we hope to showcase our speed in our match on the 28th.
