Comment of Coach TAKAKURA Asako (Nadeshiko Japan)

We are grateful for the Paraguay Women’s National Team and all the people who have made this match possible during these difficult times. With this being a match played at Sendai 10 years following the Great East Japan Earthquake, we feel like there is a special meaning attached to this match. While Japan was devastated by the earthquake, the Nadeshiko Japan won the Women’s World Cup that year, bringing back a great deal of excitement and courage to the country. Now it is our time to bring back courage and energy to this country, as we will waste no time to challenge ourselves and make the most of this precious opportunity.
