U-17 Japan Women’s National Team hold practice session before last game in the CFA International Women's Youth Football Tournament 2016 Weifang

On Friday 15 July, the morning after the game against China PR, the U-17 Japan Women’s National Team held a one-hour indoors practice session to recover from the match.

The team played a table tennis in the afternoon at Weifang University near the hotel. The players were divided into pairs to participate. The atmosphere was relaxed.

The team prepared themselves mentally for the coming final game on the following day in a meeting.

The next game against New Zealand, who will participate in the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Jordan, will kick-off at 16:00 on Saturday 16 July local time.

Players' Comments

GK #1  KOGURE Chiaki (Maebashi Ikuei High School)
We have found many areas for improvement as a team through the last two games. Although I believe I’ve improved myself during this camp, I need to challenge more aggressively. So I’d like to practice harder for the future. I try not to be negative about our loss against China PR, and will play as a united team in the last match.

DF #3  TOMITA Miyu (Okayama Sakuyo High School)
In the morning, we held a training session, practicing step work. We played a table tennis in the afternoon to refresh ourselves. As tomorrow’s game will be our last one, I’d like to earn a victory to finish this championship.
